When: July 14th, 2018
Where: Nairobi (still to be confirmed)
Details: This is our fourth workshop with Peter Ash in Kenya! You do not want to miss this course with renowned Master Composter, Peter Ash!
(Fees include tea, lunch and certification and excludes transport to and from the course)
“We have this idea that we can just throw things away,” Peter explains. “But where is away? How far away is away? We see resources that become waste by default, because those who manage the system don’t have the knowledge of where it can be used. But nature does not create any waste. What we really have are resources that have been misplaced.”
Even though he has seen some horrendously depleted and polluted sites around the world, Peter is always optimistic. He says, “Obviously we [human beings] have created a lot of terrible soil situations, but we can rehabilitate the soil by using compost and getting nature operating again.
Participants will learn about soil biology & health, managing waste more efficiently (in their farms, daily lives and at household level), vermicomposting and compost building techniques. This course is open to anyone and no pre-requisites necessary.
